ETC Swarzędz is the first shopping centre in the Wielkopolska region. Opened in 1994, over more than 20 years of operation it has built a loyal customer base as well as strong recognition and popularity in the region. In July 2016, as part of a joint venture between Capital Park Group and Akron Group, a comprehensive modernization, re-commercialisation and repositioning process began. The main objectives of the project were to integrate three previously separate halls, improve the internal circulation layout, redefine the tenant mix, and refresh the overall image of the centre.
As a result of these changes, a single modern building was created, featuring spacious internal passages and a completely new façade. The property was adapted to current retail and architectural standards. New common areas were introduced, including a food court and dedicated relaxation spaces for customers. The centre was also adjusted to meet the needs of people with disabilities and families with children. The parking area was expanded and now offers approximately 1,000 parking spaces as well as bicycle stands.
Following the redevelopment, the total gross leasable area of the centre amounts to 20,886 sqm. The shopping centre accommodates 80 retail and service units, occupied by a mix of well-known national and international retail chains as well as local brands.
The project has been awarded a BREEAM In-Use certificate at the “Excellent” level.
