Answear.com and Capital Park Group have signed a lease agreement for space in the mixed-use complex at 51/53 Żelazna Street in Warsaw. The developer’s flagship project—Fabryka Norblina—will host Answear.com’s first-ever brick-and-mortar store, alongside the relocation of the PRM brand store. Together, the two stores will occupy nearly 2,500 sqm.
Answear.com is a leading digital platform for the sale of branded clothing, footwear and accessories, operating in 11 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. The company’s owners selected Warsaw’s Fabryka Norblina as the location for their first—and only—physical store. The complex will also become the new home of PRM, the second brand acquired by the company earlier this year.
“We will open two separate stores for PRM and Answear. In the case of PRM, this means relocating to a new, larger and significantly more prestigious location. As for Answear, we have not previously announced plans to enter brick-and-mortar retail, but it has been something we have considered for a long time. This move will give us better conditions for cooperation with brands and new opportunities to showcase top products, while offering our customers the chance to experience limited collections in person and to feel the emotions we want our brand to be associated with” – says Krzysztof Bajołek, President of the Management Board of Answear.com.
At present, the company does not plan to expand the Answear.com physical retail network; however, the strategy for PRM предусматри wide-scale development. The brand’s owners intend to operate a flagship store in the capital city of every key market, hence, among other moves, the relocation of the store from Kraków to Warsaw.
“The opening of Answear.com stores at Fabryka Norblina is a great distinction for us, but also confirmation that our complex meets the expectations of the most demanding tenants. For our visitors, it is equally excellent news. From the very beginning, we have focused on bringing brands to Fabryka Norblina that are unavailable elsewhere. Expanding the offer with these two top fashion concepts will provide our guests with an even better shopping experience” – says Marcin Juszczyk, Member of the Management Board, CIO / CFO of Capital Park Group.
Both stores will jointly occupy nearly 2,500 sqm of space in the Plater building, with openings scheduled for the first half of 2024. The lease agreement has been signed for a seven-year term.
Fabryka Norblina is a mixed-use complex located in the heart of Warsaw’s Wola district. Following a multi-year revitalization of the former Norblin, Bracia Buch and T. Werner factories carried out by Capital Park Group, the complex reopened to the city in September 2021. The total area of Fabryka Norblina exceeds 65,000 sqm, including 41,000 sqm of office space.
Visitors to Fabryka Norblina can enjoy a wide range of cultural, entertainment and dining concepts, including the original boutique cinema KinoGram, the eco-market BioBazar, the capital’s largest food destination with Food Town and full-service restaurants, Piano Bar with live music, the MOXO restaurant and music club, the three-level Amar Beirut restaurant, the Museum of Fabryka Norblina, the Art Box Experience gallery, Apple Museum Poland, the Smart Kids Planet edutainment center, as well as retail units, service outlets and a health and beauty zone.
